(SOLD) A layered lacquer pipecase; with a foundation layer of red, then covered in black lacquer. This is then carved in varying degrees of relief with multiple tsuba of different designs. Depending on the particular design, pockets of the foundation red lacquer is revealed. In addition slight highlights in gold has been applied to certain areas.
