A wood bokuto - carved in the form of a bean with a traversing snail.
Inscribed:
弘化元年辰四月筑之（筑紫）太宰府天神霊梅拝受以刻之。浪花住小川月居終身謹帯之
"In the first year of Kōka, the year of the Dragon (1844), carved in the fourth month after receiving the sacred plum branch/tree from the Tenjin Shrine at Dazaifu in Chikuzen (Chikushi). Ogawa Gekkyo of Naniwa (Osaka) respectfully carries it for life."
