An unusual wood tonkotsu with a nobleman adjacent to a riverbank on a moonlit night.
The lid with the following verse carved in fine characters;
あ春毛古ん、埜路の玉川、萩こえて、いろ奈る浪尓、月ヤと里介累
"Tomorrow again, the Jewel River of Noji, where the bush clover grows, and ripples reflect the moon."
The original poem by Fujiwara no Shunrai is compiled in the Senzai Wakashu 千載和歌集 (Anthology of poems).
The reverse inscibed; 埜路玉川、俊頼 "Noji Tamagawa, Toshiyori". (Six Jeled River).
