A wood mask of a Worthy, or Rakkan. Carved from a side aspect and displaying one huge ear with a bone ring (Originally ivory, replaced with bone). To the reverse, a wonderful demonstration of the stages of the lotus plant.
The work is likely by the Shumin or Shuzan studio of artists.
